The Furry Blue Line

Yes, I know that our intrepid hero has been transformed into a Weremunk, not a Wereirrel or whatever a Squirrel would turn someone into.  It wouldn't make nearly as much sense to reference the CVU or the CPD, so you'll have to suspend your belief with my talking-cat, weremunk-infested, ridiculous offerings.

The holiday season is upon us, like the fifth unnamed rider of the apocalypse, bringing capitalism and commercial infection to everything it touches.  That being said, I'm hoping to get my shopping done sooner rather than later.  It would be awesome to not have that hanging over my head at the last minute, and free up whatever spare cash the servants would find here at the Manor to be put towards things that I want.

Speaking of things I wanted, if you read my blogs you'll know I had the chance to play Star Wars: The Old Republic this past weekend prior to actually purchasing it.  I felt a bit underwhelmed with the experience, but the majority of that was due to technical issues with conversations and battles lagging.  The stories themselves and the mechanics of the game all seemed to be well worth the wait.  Hopefully EA and Bioware are taking notes based on the input from their beta testers and correct the issues prior to the actual launch one month from today.  I'm amped up to be able to fly around the galaxy I've spent so much time reading and playing games in, and soon I'll be able to shout my signoff phrase at my actual companion characters.

This Will Make The Watercooler Interesting Today

What do you do when you have to try and get back to a normal life after something wacky and weird happens to you?  I know that in movies, the characters seem to fall into one of two camps: they either grab onto their old life and act as if they're still the same person, or they completely abandon everything for their new powers, curse, what-have-you.

Tonight's comic comes somewhere from the former of those two scenarios, hoping that people don't care enough on a Monday that they wouldn't even notice.

Not much else to blog about tonight, work's been a little nuts-o and to relax I've really just been watching Lie To Me or Castle and playing DC Universe Online.  When life happens to me again, you'll be the first to know about it, regardless of your care factor.

A Very Veteran Vet

We bring you yet another installment of ... whatever this is.  If you're having trouble understanding what on earth is going on, just take a quick minute to read the previous handful of comics.  They're not lengthy by design so catching up is super easy.

I received an email I've been waiting almost a year for; I'll be a beta tester for Star Wars The Old Republic before it's official release.  It's awesome that I'll get the chance to walk around a bit and check it out, but either way I'll have access to the game again in roughly a month from now.  Having the chance to take a test drive will also be helpful because there will still be time to cancel the pre-order if things are not up to par.  Before too long, I'll be tooling around the fake galaxy with my fake Han Solo, beating up fake enemies for fake prizes.

Old man alert: I'm about to say something that is increasingly stated the more advanced one's age becomes.  Man, time's really flying by, right?  It's almost Thanksgiving when it seems it was the middle of summer not long ago at all.  Alright that's enough of that, shake it off.

Tales of the Weremunk!

Aghast! Shock! The Horror! It's a were...munk.  Our heroes will have to find some way to stop this adorable transformation, or I'm sure there will be some kind of consequence.

We're nearing the apex of our first actual story here, folks.  I'm hoping that you're all digging a somewhat continuous, if not frenetic, thought.

I'm anxious to try out DC Online as I've learned it's free to play now.  They've reporting some 200,000 new accounts created since Tuesday (when they made the change) which is insane.  I know the game was snazzy when I checked out the beta and I'm all about playing super hero dress-up.

Also of note: we're about to celebrate something very important this weekend.  The Lady that keeps the Manor running will be commemorating the day she graced the Earth with her presence, and the task falls to us to show her how much we appreciate that.  Fingers crossed and party hats on.

Tiny Teeth of Fury!

Getting back to the story, we see that small creatures can themselves still be ferocious in their own, adorable little ways.  I'd like to say this is where the story's about to really get going but we'll see how I do.

This may be the week that does it.  If things progress, I could mow the lawn and shovel the snow from my driveway in the same week.  More news on this exciting story as it develops.

Also in the news is the awesome that is Sons of Anarchy.  The new episode is actually about to air but I won't watch it live because I hate commercials that much.  Yes, I realize that without the views advertisers won't want to put their commercials on the show.  Yes, I realize that if enough people did that the show could go off the air.  However, my deep-seeded anger towards consumer manipulation runs that deep.

Way to end on an up note, eh?
