Putting the Pieces Together

Our action-packed finale is right around the bend! So many unanswered questions! So many unasked questions too! To find out what happens, you'll have to tune back in for our next installment, same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!

Mixed emotions writing that last bit, since the old Batman TV show sign-off was something I could recite along with the announcer, but it meant that I had to wait until tomorrow to find out how Batman and Robin could get away from the killer sparrows or exploding birthday gifts or whatever kooky things they were wrapped up in.  I did always come back though, so you could make the argument that putting that hook at the end worked like a charm.

We had the opportunity to catch Cowboys and Aliens in the theater wing of the Manor this past weekend, and a good time was had by all.  Honestly, mashing the genres seemed to work in this case.  Granted, you have the typical action/adventure movie side-stories that are all introduced and realized within a few scenes of each other, but I appreciated how they handled the story for how wacky and out there it ended up being.  It all begins with the (mostly) standard cowboy stereotypes, ending in a standoff between the town's biggest rancher and the Sheriff for the rancher's son to be returned.  It's at this point that we say goodbye to standard cowboy fare (again, mostly).  Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford were both pretty solid, I'd make it a solid recommend for fans of the adventure realm.

Anyway, enjoy the holiday, be safe, have a hearty appetite if you are able and we'll meet again further down the trail.

Punch it, Chewie!
